Hello everyone! Today we learn how to copy a Cisco configuration file from a TFTP server to a switch. The lessons are in Khmer, and you can practice safely in Packet Tracer or on a private lab network.
Copy a configuration from TFTP
You can copy a configuration file from a TFTP server to a Cisco switch. This lesson is in Khmer:

Copy to the active configuration
This command adds the file's commands to the current running configuration:
enable
copy tftp: running-config
Follow the prompts. Enter the TFTP server IP address and the exact file name.
Copy to the saved configuration
This command replaces the switch's saved startup configuration with the TFTP file:
copy tftp: startup-config
Be careful: a wrong file can replace your saved settings. The running configuration does not change from this command until the switch reloads.
Tips
- Practice in Packet Tracer or a private lab first.
- Check the TFTP server address, file name, and network connection before copying.
- Back up the current configuration before replacing the saved configuration.
- Check that the file matches the switch and IOS version.
- TFTP does not encrypt data. Use it only on a trusted, protected network.
- Review the configuration before reloading the switch.
