I. Vector vs Raster: Why Need Illustrator?

Raster (Photoshop): Made from small picture square (pixels). Zoom big get blurry and broken. Good for photo edit.
Vector (Illustrator): Made from math line, anchor point, and handle curve. Zoom big or small, sharp 100%! Must use for logo and print work.

👉 Quick Tip: Photoshop for photo, Illustrator for logo and vector shape. Don't mix wrong tool!

II. Main Parts of Vector Path

Every vector drawing line have 3 main things:

Anchor Point: Small square point where path start or change line direction.
Path Segment: Line between 2 anchor points.
Direction Handle (Bezier Handle): Line with circle head for pull/adjust curve angle and bend.

👉 Pro Tips for Pen Tool:

Press Shift key: Keep straight 45 or 90 degree line when click anchor point.
Press Alt (or Option on Mac): Click handle head to break handle for make sharp corner!
Press Ctrl (or Cmd on Mac): Quick change to Direct Selection Tool (A) for move point without switch tool.
Press Spacebar: Hold spacebar when dragging point to move anchor position before release mouse!
