Here is some extra tip to go with the video. Read before you upgrade or install!

Check Windows version

Press Windows + R, type winver and press Enter.
Settings > System > About show edition, version and build.
Press Windows + R, type msinfo32 to see full PC info.

Windows 11 requirement

Item	Need at least
CPU	1 GHz, 2 core, 64-bit
RAM	4 GB
Storage	64 GB
TPM	Version 2.0
Secure Boot	Support (UEFI)

Check TPM: press Windows + R, type tpm.msc and press Enter.
Use PC Health Check app from Microsoft to check fast.

Before upgrade

Backup important file (Desktop, Documents, Pictures) to USB or Google Drive.
Free up at least 20–30 GB on drive C.
Plug in charger if you use laptop.
Write down your Wi-Fi password and Microsoft account password.

Upgrade or new install?

Upgrade — keep file and program, fast and easy. Good for most people.
New install — delete everything, computer more clean and fast. Good when Windows already slow or have virus.

Download and USB boot

Only download from microsoft.com/software-download/windows11.
Use USB at least 8 GB. All data in USB will be delete!
Boot from USB: restart and press boot key like F12, F11, F9 or Esc (depend on brand).

Activation

Check status: Settings > System > Activation.
Or press Windows + R, type slmgr /xpr and press Enter.
Login with Microsoft account so license link to your account. Easy to activate again after change hardware.

Windows Update

Don't want turn off forever? Use Settings > Windows Update > Pause updates for 1–5 week.
Set Active hours so Windows don't restart when you working.
Turn update back on sometime! Update fix security problem and keep your PC safe.
